SubNaples Micro (NE)
The “wireless” laser head!
The SubNaples Micro is a Q-switched, diode-pumped solid-state laser in industry-leading, compact form factor, emitting in either 1064 or 532 nm.
It is rugged, turn-key solution especially suited to be embedded in OEM products such as bench-top or portable analytical instrumentation. The specific model with the NE designation has been designed to have a completely passive laser head with no electrical connections and controls to it. Thus, it is especially suitable for high-EMI environments, and other harsh conditions where electromagnetic interference must be avoided.
The Q-switched laser head is energized by a pump pulse from a laser diode, connected to the laser head via a 2m-long optical fiber (factory option, other lengths available). The laser head is passively cooled via natural convection, or optionally, via a compact, closed-loop liquid cooler. The liquid cooler is powered by the laser power supply and has a heat exchanger that attaches to the bottom of the laser head.
The laser delivers short pulses at repetition rates of up to 2 kHz and average power up to 80 mW (1064 nm) or 25mW (532nm).
Measuring only 112x70x55 mm the laser head is air-cooled and thermally stabilized and requires only optical fibre connection to the small power supply.
If shorter wavelengths are required, the SubNaples MINI can deliver down to 213 nm (fifth Nd-YAG harmonic) in slightly larger laser head package.
