Laser micro-drilling

Laser micro-drilling can be used to produce micro-holes in any material. Passat has over 25 years experience using a very wide variety of short and ultrashort pulsed lasers in the IR, visible and UV wavelength ranges for laser hole drilling. The micro-holes are used for high precision pinholes, nozzles, orifices, vias, etc.

Laser Micro Milling

Passat has many years of experience in carrying out complicated laser micromachining processes to laser mill fine features in a wide range of materials.

Micro-milling is ideal for a wide variety of applications including:

Production of micro-moulds

Production of micro-stamping tools

Creating microfluidics devices

Laser Micro Scribing

Passat lasers can be used to scribe fine features in any material. Fine slots can be cut in almost any material including: ceramics, silicon, sapphire, metals and glass. These very fine slots can be used directly, as in the Laser Groove Buried Grid (LGBG) process in photovoltaic cell production.

Laser Micro Patterning

Patterns or shapes can be engraved onto any material. Small amounts of material are removed by each laser pulse. The laser beam is scanned over the surface to produce the desired pattern.
