ABOUT PASSAT
Precision laser engineering since 1995
Passat Ltd. develops and manufactures compact diode-pumped solid-state lasers for scientific, industrial and OEM applications—from infrared through visible, ultraviolet and deep-ultraviolet wavelengths.
OUR COMPANY
Three decades of solid-state laser development
Since 1995, Passat has developed compact all-solid-state picosecond and sub-nanosecond DPSS lasers, nonlinear optical components and wavelength-conversion technologies.
Our systems are available at 1064, 532, 355, 266 and 213 nm, covering the infrared, visible, ultraviolet and deep-ultraviolet spectral ranges. Passat laser platforms are designed for precision micromachining, spectroscopy, sensing, ranging, imaging, mass spectrometry and advanced research.
The company combines long-standing expertise in phase-conjugated laser architectures, pulse compression, harmonic generation and Raman shifting with practical experience supplying laser systems to customers worldwide.
SPACE HERITAGE
Contribution to the Phoenix Mars mission
Passat received a Certificate of Recognition from the Canadian Space Agency for outstanding performance and a lasting contribution to the success of the Phoenix Meteorological Station instrument.
The Phoenix lander reached the Martian northern polar region in May 2008 and studied the history of water, the soil and the atmosphere. The mission confirmed water ice in the Martian subsurface and operated successfully for more than five months.
